Please read the product manual for details. For me, my nikon can focus when i press and hold the button.
Today, camera is capable of taking high resolution photo. It also capable of taking very nearby photo by the use of focusing.
If you need to photocopy some documents but not a lot of them. And you also have a digital camera that capable of focusing nearby element. Then you can photocopy the document with your camera.
Just lay down your document and use your camera to focus and zoom to take the whole document, then take the photo of it, move the photo from your sd card to your computer. Now you have the photo, but it is a big file. You can reduce the file size by using Photoshop or GIMP to save the photo to JPEG with low quality.
